9. Rembrandt House Museum
Rembrandt House Museum is a virtual time machine, it picks you up and drops you into the
home of legendary artist Rembrandt. Rembrandt lived in this house in Amsterdam for close
to a decade and a walk through the museum is as eerie as it is fascinating.
You can take a tour of the studio where he thought up and executed some of his finest pieces.
Almost more interesting than the studio is the space in which he actually lived. The house
still has some of the original furnishings and also displays some of the artist's drawings.
Great effort has been taken to restore the space to the likeness of Rembrandt's own home.
In addition to the preservation of Rembrandt's memory, the house also serves as a stage for
changing exhibitions for up-and-coming artists to display their works.
