8. Negen straatjes (Nine Streets)
Amsterdam's Nine Streets Neighborhood (Neges straatjes) is full of chic boutiques, trendy
cafes, modern galleries and cool people. This makes it worth a visit.
The neighborhood is divided and encircled by three canals that divide three long streets into
the nine small streets of the neighborhood.
Huidenstraat will have you smack dab in the middle of things and if you're on the hunt for
some fine jewellery this is where you want to head.
Berenstraat is one of the larger streets in the neighborhood offering a fantastic mix of res-
taurants, shops as well as a grocery store for those midnight snack cravings.
For the more quirky side of things, head to Oude Spiegelstraat which has a mixture of an-
tique and second- hand shops mixed in amongst the cafés.
