2. Canal Cruise
Picture candlelight, wine, cheese and a tour along beautiful, mystical canals that give you a
chance to sip, and watch city life as your boat meanders along the water.
Less famous than their Italian cousins, the 165 canals weaving through Amsterdam make for
a picturesque boat cruise. The numerous canals also means Amsterdam is a whimsical land
of bridges, more than 1400 to be exact.
During the medieval ages the city was surrounded by a moat (from 1480 to 1585). What
many tourists don't realize is that this moat still exists today, it's the inner most semi-circle
of the Amsterdam canals (the canal is named 'Singel').
There are a number of cruise companies, with two of the largest being Blue Boat Cruises
