plates includes many sensors that allow the different pressures by colour (Fig.

The red and orange colours represent areas of higher pressure while the green and
blue colours, representing areas of lower pressure [

].
Plantar pressure plates allow us to examine all plantar pressure support, allowing
changes evaluation since the initial contact until the final contact (Fig.
3
). During
the support we can also observe the COP trajectory, by analyzing the medial-lateral
and anterior-posterior component [
16
].
Laboratory tests should be included in the diagnostic of postural stability
changes, as a complement to the clinical test usually used. The evaluation of
plantar pressure must be included in a gait analysis laboratory, in association with
other laboratory tests [
60
]. The data obtained with these systems, help the health
professionals to anticipate the intervention or changes in treatment programs, in
order to increase the effectiveness of rehabilitation.
