Ground Reaction Force (GRF) identified by Yellow vector
Primary progressive MS represents the minority of cases with 15%. Character-
ized by a progression from the beginning of the disease, without existence of any
relapse, more characteristic in older men and often associated in elderly [ 45 ]. In
this form of MS, the lesions are usually located in the spinal cord and develop
less cognitive problems compared with other forms.

Dynamometry and Center of Pressure (COP)
A device developed to measure forces and moments of forces is called a dynamome-
ter [ 46 ]. The moment of a force is the tendency of this force to produce torsion or
rotation around an axis [ 10 ]. During the gait or simply in the standing position, the
contact of foot with the support develops a force called the ground reaction force
(GRF) (Fig. 1 ).
The human plantar support dynamometry allows graduate the deformation on
the surfaces of the plates (force and pressure) and thus obtains the value of GRF.
