Another form of correcting motion is to perform a list mode acquisition and to
detect externally the motion using video cameras [ 67 ]. The list mode acquisition
generates a list of all detected events. The information saved for each event is
the position, the photon energy and the instant of time. Motion compensation is
performed by correcting spatially each event using the information of the motion
detected by the video cameras. Once spatially corrected, the events transform
naturally in the projections and the reconstruction is performed. Recently, the
same group also generalized the procedure enabling correction of deformable
movements [ 68 ].
