Avoid cowboy outfitters that may not be qualified to run boating trips. Rafting and
kayaking is organised along the Tuul Gol and Khovd Gol by agencies based in Ulaan-

Guesthouse, Garage 24 and Bond Lake, all in Khatgal ( Click here ), rent kayaks and may
have rafts. Specialist companies that run boating trips include:

trips on the Chuluut, Eg, Orkhon and Yeroo rivers. It also rents canoes if you want to
mount your own expedition.

Run by experienced American river guides, MRA has trips in western and central Mongo-

Mongolia is rich in birdlife and the Ministry of Tourism has identified this activity as a
priority for development. Start your online research with the Mongolia Ornithological
