the best hotel in town. Rooms are large, bright and modern and they come with spacious

breakfast is included. No English sign or English spoken, but welcoming staff.
Eating
For cheap khuushuur (mutton pancakes) or buuz (steamed dumplings), try the train-car
guanz (canteen) outside the market MAP GOOGLE MAP (
Tue-Sun) . There's an in-
door supermarket here too.

( 9945 2688; Marshal Tsedenbal Gudamj 27; mains T3000-5000; 9am-9pm; ) Probably
the best Ulaangom has to offer; the stir-fried steak meals are called simply 'meat dishes'.
Our favourite was the slightly spicy 'meat dish with pepper'. Also does dumplings, soup
and the like. English menu. Has beer.

jimsnii salat (fruit salad), öndögnii salat (egg salad), suutei tsagaan budaa (rice-milk
porridge), tsuivan (fried noodles), grildej sharsan takhiany makh (grilled chicken leg),
