( 9145 6666; delhiinovuvsnuur_mn@yahoo.com ; 8am-5pm Mon-Fri) This government-
run office may be able to help arrange guides (US$35 per day) and jeeps (US$60 per day
plus petrol), but nobody here speaks English, making dealing with them difficult. Email-
ing may produce better results.
Sleeping
The best camping is along the Kharkhiraa Gol or anywhere south of the city on the road
to Tarialan.

( 01452-22445; dm/d with breakfast T10,000/ 18,000, lux tw with breakfast T40,000) Very run
down, but an OK option as a last resort. All rooms have their own bathrooms, but they
aren't the cleanest, and the hot water is sporadic.
Tavan Od HOTEL$$$
( 9945 2021, 01452-23409; tw T25,000, s/tw with bathroom T40,000/50,000; ) This mid-
sized hotel on the north edge of town offers a variety of fairly clean and comfortable
rooms. Only the lux rooms have their own bathrooms but the public bathhouse (T2000)
is in the same compound. Also has a restaurant-cum-bar that gets favourable reviews
from locals. Walking northwest from the market, take the second sealed road on your
right (after about 500m) and the hotel, housed in a grey-and-red, three-storey brick build-
ing, will be on your left after about 200m. No English.
