Getting There & Away
BUS
A bus leaves every day at 8am and 2pm for Ulaanbaatar (T13,200, four to five hours,
260km) and another every Thursday at 8am for Choir (T11,700, five hours, 187km).
Tickets for Choir must be bought the morning before the day of departure. The bus from
Ulaanbaatar on its way to Dalanzadgad (nine hours, 293km) passes sometime between
2pm and 3pm. If there is room, tickets cost T14,000.
JEEP & MINIVAN
Daily shared jeeps to Ulaanbaatar (T16,000, four hours) leave when full from the jeep
stand near the Telecom office. You're unlikely to find a shared jeep to Dalanzadgad
(T16,000, seven hours), but Dalanzadgad-bound jeeps coming from Ulaanbaatar might
be able to squeeze you in. Wait for these at the petrol station in the south of town.
