Getting There & Away
BUS

Two daily buses (T26,500, 11 hours) depart for Ulaanbaatar at 8am and 5pm. The same
buses can drop you in Chinggis Khot (229km) for T11,300. In Ulaanbaatar the bus leaves
from the Bayanzürkh bus station ( Click here ) . Tickets are usually sold out one or two
days before departure.
JEEP & MINIVAN
Shared jeeps and minivans leave Ulaanbaatar daily (560km) from the Naran Tuul jeep
station ( Click here ) . From Baruun-Urt, vehicles wait at a jeep stand around 200m north-
east of their old location behind the department store. Expect to pay around T16,000 for
Chinggis Khot (229km) though drivers may want to charge the full fare all the way to
UB; it's much cheaper to take the bus. The Chinggis Khot to Baruun-Urt road is well un-
der way to being paved; at the time of research the tarmac extended for around 100km
