from the centre, 400m past the market. Turn right at the water pump house and walk for
another 150m; it's on the left, marked 'Bata Guesthouse'. Friendly English-speaking
owner, Bata, can help arrange transport and homestays with nomad families. There's a
ger cafe on-site and guests can make international phone calls. Laundry services and
showers cost T2000.

shower. It is on the 2nd floor of an apartment block next to the 50° 100° Hotel. The

Around 600m east of the wrestling stadium you spot a bright purple gate in-
scribed with the words 'guest house'. Inside there are three neat guest gers and friendly
English-speaking Baigal feeds you breakfast with eggs fresh from under her own chick-
ens. She can also assist with travel logistics. Hot showers are T2000.
