( 01342-22811; tw/lux T10,000/30,000) This charmingly rundown Soviet hotel is in a
peaceful location overlooking the park. With its moose on the wall, and (defunct) Russi-

Getting There & Away
BUS, MINIVAN & JEEP
A bus departs Bulgan for Ulaanbaatar (T17,500, seven hours) on Tuesday, Thursday,
Saturday and Monday at 8am. Minivans and jeeps go between Bulgan and Ulaanbaatar
(T25,000, six hours) on demand, but most people take a minivan to Erdenet (T5000, one
hour, 55km) and then take the bus or overnight train. Shared taxis (T5000) run to Erdenet
on demand several times a day; if you're in a hurry, just pay the fare for the entire taxi
(T20,000).
To go to Mörön (or anywhere else), go to Erdenet, as vehicles tend to leave from there.
There are two routes between Ulaanbaatar and Bulgan City: the rougher but more dir-
ect southern route (318km) via Dashinchilen, or the paved northern route (434km) via
