Nassan has been in the guesthouse business for 20 years and runs a clean and centrally
located hostel. Spacious rooms are bright and have functional bathrooms and kitchen fa-
cilities. However, there is not much colour or personality to the place so the experience is
somewhat underwhelming. Travellers report mixed results when dealing with the man-
agement. The guesthouse overlooks Baga Toiruu but to find the entrance you need to
walk through the alley behind the bus stop (east side of the road), look for the gate into
the small courtyard. It's the middle entrance.

225,000; ) This boutique hotel has just 10 rooms, each one decked out in brown and
beige furnishings, with flat-panel TVs and modern, but small, bathrooms. The prime
selling point here is the location, overlooking a little park near the National Museum.
The breakfast is a bit disappointing for the price. Note that the air-con units in the back
can be noisy at night and service is generally spotty. Overall it's a nice place to stay if
you are looking for something quaint but keep expectations in check.

new guesthouse enjoys a central location in a quiet courtyard set behind the National
Academy Drama Theatre. It's a pricier than some of its competitors but the quality of the
rooms stands out. It's well kept, furnishings are modern and the bunk beds are soft and
warm. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a cosy lounge. Look for the red awning over
the outside windows.
