Genden's office, with his desk and other personal effects.
The descriptions are only in Mongolian so it's a good idea to bring a guide who can
make sense of it all. The guard who keeps the key to the place sometimes disappears for
several days so you may find it closed during normal hours.
Wedding Palace PALACE

(Khurimiin Ordon) The large, white square building located just southwest of the Victims of
Political Persecution Memorial Museum is called the Wedding Palace. Built in 1976 by
the Russians, it has since been used for tens of thousands of wedding ceremonies, includ-
ing the marital vows of a few foreigners.
Mongolian Artists' Exhibition Hall ART GALLERY
( 11-327 474; cnr Peace Ave & Chingisiin Örgön Chölöö; 9am-6pm) If you want to
see Mongolian art, and maybe buy some, head into the Mongolian Artists' Exhibition
Hall, on the 2nd floor of the white-marble building diagonally opposite the CPO. This is
a rotating collection of modern and often dramatic paintings, carvings, tapestries and
sculptures, and a good souvenir shop.
National Amusement Park AMUSEMENT PARK

(Children's Park; adult/student T1000/700; ) Known to almost everyone as the 'Children's
Park', this small amusement park features rides, games and paddleboats. The target audi-
ence is the 12-and-under set, so it's perfect if you are travelling with small kids. The park
entrance is on the southeast corner. For the rides you buy individual tickets, around
T3000 to T5000 a pop. It's open year-round; in winter there's ice skating for T2000 per
90 minutes.

MUSEUM OF DINOSAURS
One of Mongolia's biggest attractions is its rich collection of dinosaur fossils and
dinosaur eggs, found mainly at spots throughout the Gobi such as the famous
'Flaming Cliffs'.
