10.4.3 Color Code Methods
Considering the negative effects of the bar code methods described above,
some makers are trying to use the designs with attractive patterns to replace
the dull designs of bar codes. The color code method is an example. It was
proposed by Colozip Media Inc. and called as ColorCode [12]. As shown in
Fig. 10.5, the ColorCode consists of 5 and 5 patterns in 4 kinds of colors, red,
green, blue, and black, with a black frame. Therefore, they are also known as
3-dimensional codes. As shown in Fig. 10.6, the design of ColorCode can have
other kinds of patterns such as squares, hearts, characters, etc.
