to input the alphabets into the mobile phone until the last one, since there
are few input buttons in a mobile phone. The development of print-to-web
linking technology using the mobile phone, it becomes possible to link from
print media to a related website. This can be done by taking a photograph
with a mobile phone camera.
In our daily life, there are many possible applications of print-to-web link-
ing technology using a mobile phone camera. Fig. 10.3 shows four represen-
tative applications of print-to-web linking technology using a mobile phone
camera. They are as follows.
Magazines and Posters:
Instantly linking from a sample image printed on magazines or posters to a
related website.
Television Advertisement:
Instantly linking from a still advertisement shown on a television screen to a
related website instantly.
Station Signboard:
Instantly linking from a picture of a billboard to a related website instantly.
Companys Logo-mark:
Instantly linking from the companys logo mark printed on business cards or
pamphlets to the companys website instantly.
