Interpolation Dilution of a Protein Sample
The sequencing graph of interpolation-based dilution bioassay can be found in
Fig. 2.20 a[ 16 ]. There are 71 operations in the interpolation-based dilution bioassay.
When no error occurs, the execution time of the bioassay is 182 s, and 32 droplets
are consumed in the bioassay. Assume that the number of errors occur in the
bioassay is no more than 2, then the total number of cases need to be considered is
N e D 71 C .71 70/=2 D 2556. For these 2,556 dictionary entries, the histogram
for number of droplets consumed in error recovery is shown in Fig. 3.9 a.
By setting different value for N max , the number of effective entries in the
dictionary will be different. For example, when N max is set as 3, 5, and 8,
the numbers of effective entries in the dictionary are 1,727, 2,156, and 2,556,
