Getting There
Subway The Hibiya and Ōedo Lines both stop at Roppongi. The Hibiya Line is
most convenient for Roppongi Hills; the Ōedo Line for Tokyo Midtown. The Hibiya Line
continues to Kamiyachō; the Ōedo Line goes to Akebanebashi. The Chiyoda Line ser-
vices Nogizaka and Akasaka.
The Sights in a Day
Start the day in Shiba-kōen, taking the subway to Akebanebashi. Situ-
ated on the edge of this leafy park is Zōjō-ji ( Click here ), one of Tokyo's
most important temples. This is also where you'll spot red-and-white Tokyo Tower
( Click here ), which offers views over the city. Then settle in for a long, leisurely
lunch of Japanese haute cuisine at Tofuya-Ukai ( Click here ).
Take a cab to Tokyo Midtown ( Click here ) in Roppongi. Wander through
the halls and garden, taking in an exhibition at 21_21 Design Sight

pongi Hills ( Click here ) - the neighbourhood's other city within a city. Budget at
least an hour or two for the Mori Art Museum ( Click here ) , timing your visit for

Have dinner at one of Roppongi's lively izakaya (Japanese-style pub),
