Narita Airport
Narita Airport (
0476-34-8000; www.narita-airport.jp/en ; Narita-shi, Chiba-ken) is 66km
east of Tokyo.
Narita Express (N'EX; www.jreast.co.jp/e/nex/index.html ) Trains run approximately
every half-hour, 7.30am to 9.45pm, to Tokyo Station (¥2940, 53 minutes), with
branches heading to Shinjuku, Shibuya or Shinagawa stations (all ¥3110, 1½
hours). Seats are reserved, but tickets can be purchased immediately before de-
parture, if available, from ticket counters near the arrival gate in either terminal.
Keisei Skyliner ( www.keisei.co.jp ) Trains zip twice an hour, 8am to 10.15pm, to
Ueno Station (¥2400, 45 minutes), where you can pick up the subway. Trains also
