This contentious war museum, on the ground of Yasukuni-jinja, begins with
Japan's samurai tradition and ends with its imperialist aggressions in the first half
of the 20th century. There are also some emotionally harrowing exhibits, such as
the messages written by kamikaze pilots (and translated into English) to their fam-
ilies just before their final missions. (

which has rides mostly geared for little kids (ages 3 to 5). Anime fans should head
to the Geopolis section, with its Lupin -themed labyrinth. Tickets are available for
