At the entrance to Golden Gai (a neighbourhood of watering holes that was a black
market in the post-WWII years), Champion isn't exactly representative of the dis-
trict, but it's fun. There's no cover charge, drinks are just ¥500 a pop and the
karaoke is loud - you can't miss it.
