16. Via Veneto
Via Veneto, officially named Via Vittorio Veneto, is widely known for being one of the most
expensive streets in all of Rome. The street earned its name after the historically relevant
Battle of Vittorio Veneto, which took place during World War I. Prior to that, the street was
named after a local point of interest.
With a number of exclusive boutiques and cafés lining the street, Via Veneto found a fair
amount of fame in the 1970's. While the 1980's were less popular for this charming area of
Rome, the street has now earned a new reputation for exclusivity. Two famous locations on
Via Veneto have a well-earned reputation for being the hangout place of choice for a number
