In-Depth Information
While visitors are not allowed to eat lunch on the Spanish Steps, the steps are often
crowded by guests who can appreciate the historical references surrounding them. English
poet John Keats lived in a small house located just to the right of the steps; it now serves as
a museum to Keats, and is a popular tourist destination.
The Spanish Steps have appeared in several notable movies, including the Audrey Hepburn
and Gregory Peck 1953 classic, Roman Holiday.
