4.5 Summary
This chapter gives an overview of the prediction coding tools in AVS2, including
intraprediction and interprediction. For intraprediction, the directional intrapredic-
tion is detailed. For interprediction, first the prediction partition and motion vector
prediction are introduced. Then multiple hypothesis prediction and sub-pixel inter-
polation in AVS2 are described. Finally, the reference picture management scheme
in AVS2 is provided.
