In between a list of 10,000 agents has been published by EPA in 2012 (EPA EDSP
list, 2012), called the List of Universe of Chemicals. The agency plans to prioritize these
chemicals for screening by considering physico-chemical properties, exposure, and an
effect-based approach. They are going to apply advanced computational toxicological
methods. The priority 1,500 substances will undergo EDSP Tier 1 screening, as it was
decided by the 2013 FIFRA Science Advisory Panel Meeting (FIFRA SAP, 2013).The
prioritization approach is supposed to be adequate to identify discrete, individual, low
volatility, water-soluble chemicals with the potential to directly interact with the estro-
gen receptor alpha (ERalpha) and activate ER-mediated transcription in the nucleus
