Purslane
Cation balances are sometimes difficult to achieve because purslane soils have high po-
tassium and magnesium levels. High iron and copper releases also figure when this weed
declares the kingdom for the season. Calcium and phosphate levels are always low in
purslane territory. Aerobes go off duty under low porosity and low moisture conditions,
hence acid soil release of iron and copper. Horse purslane is much the same weed, with
round leaves and diced prominent veins.
