Hydrogen Peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide is water with an extra oxygen molecule, H 2 O 2 . Our body makes it to
control microbes and so do plants. It may kill microbes when used full strength, but is oc-
casionally used diluted in the garden to improve plant health and control fungi. It's an un-
stable molecule that quickly breaks down to one water molecule and one oxygen molecule.
It's applied at ⅓ to 3/4 teaspoon of 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide in two quarts of wa-
ter per 1,000 square feet. It's $10-$15 for a quart. I would tend to apply some EM the day
after applying this.
