Sitting at the foot of a valley, the hamlet of Cannobio ( OFFLINE MAP ) 15km from the
Swiss border, is the prettiest Italian town on the lake.
On Sunday, the town hosts a large market on the waterfront with more than 290
stalls selling speciality meats, wines, cheeses and sweets, as well as nonfood items.
