5.2.1
Access and user IDs
As part of the preparation to begin the DMO process, you must:
1.
Request OS access to the source system for your own user ID
2.
Verify your access to user <SID>adm
3.
Verify your access to user orasid
4.
Obtain the Oracle SYSTEM password
5.
Obtain the Oracle schema password
6.
Obtain the password for user DDIC in client 000 and test the login with user
DDIC
7.
Request Basis role access to the SAP default business client
8.
Obtain the password for user SYSTEM in HANA, and verify login in HANA Stu-
dio
9.
Obtain and verify access for user <SID>adm on the HANA Linus servers
10.
Obtain and verify access for user <SID>adm on VM Linux servers
11.
Obtain target instance numbers for the HANA, ASCS, PAS, and AAS servers
Once you have determined that you have used the checklist above to verify you have the
proper credentials and authority levels in all systems necessary, you can move forward with
other general preparations.
5.2.2
SSFS configuration
The first step of the general preparations involves determining whether SSFS (Secure Stor-
age in File System) is configured on the Oracle system. Instructions for checking SSFS are
contained in SAP Note 1639578.
5.2.3
Migration key and BW license key
Next, you will need to request your OS/DB migration key from the SAP Marketplace. SAP
Note 317096 contains instructions and information regarding requesting the OS/DB migra-
tion key. You will also need to request a new license key for SAP BW on HANA, so be
sure to do so while you are already logged in to the SAP Marketplace.
