Instead, master data identifiers, commonly known as SIDs, are written to the fact table, and
dimensional keys are not used. This flattened InfoCube structure yields faster data reads
and data loads. In essence, dimension tables become semantic, logical units instead of sep-
arate tables. These semantic units simplify the task of creating queries through BEx Query
Designer. HANA-optimized InfoCubes are structured as shown in Figure 3.3.
