3. Identify SPAM upgrade/patching requirements.
4. Upgrade SPAM to version 51, or higher for SAP NetWeaver 7.01.
5. Implement SSFS (Secure Storage in File System (AS ABAP)) via SAP Notes
1622837 and 1639578.
6. Ensure sufficient disk space is available on PAS host where DMO will be running for
all packages deployed for the upgrade (40 GB+).
7. Rename sapevents.dll to sapevents_old.dll before upgrade, per SAP Note 1556113.
8. Identify SAP HostAgent version requirements.
9. Install SAP HostAgent 7.20 PL178 or higher.
10. Prepare the SAP HostAgent and DMO according to SAP Notes 1799545, 1843776,
and 1878193.
11. Create the file sumstart.conf with the following command:
/usr/sap/<SID>/SUM/abap/SUMSTART confighostagent
12. Enable SSL for the SAP HostAgent (Port 1129).
13. Restart the SAP HostAgent.
14. Start the DMO front end with the following URLs (HTTP/HTTPS):
http://<server>.<domain>.<ext>:1128/lmsl/upgrade/<SID>/doc/gui
https://<server>.<domain>.<ext>:1129/lmsl/upgrade/<SID>/doc/gui
15. Check/reset the DMO procedure.
