Database consistency
Step 2 in Section 0 must be done before the database copy in order to
ensure database consistency between the copies.
3. Perform homogenous database copy of the source BW to the interim BW.
4. Reset force logging to
NO
in the source BW.
5. Set noarchivelog mode in the interim BW.
6. In the interim BW, check PSATEMP space and increase SYSAUX, PSATEMP, and
PSAPEL701D if required. Set SYSAUX, PSATEMP, and PSAPEL701D to autoextend.
Also, create upgrade tablespaces with at least 30% free space for the upgrade.
7. Run DBVerify on the interim BW in the interim BW.
8. Resolve any corruption issues in the DBVerify log in the interim BW.
9. Take offline or online full database backups and start incremental backups in the inter-
im BW.
10. Start the system in the interim BW.

Post-copy
After completing the homogenous database copy, perform the following tasks in the post-
copy phase.
1. Configure TMS in the interim BW.
2. Provide the secure store migration key and SLDSUPER password to the core team in
the interim BW.
3. Create local RFC destination <LOGSYS> in the interim BW.
4. Create local RFC destination <LOGSYS>_PC in the interim BW.
5. Post-processing, change the default background server name (SM61) in the interim
BW.
