You probably noticed that several steps in this process are repeated
numerous times. The moral of the story here is to keep repeating the
process until all required SAP Notes have been applied before mov-
ing on to the PCA preparation phase of the DMO process. In the task
list provided, numerous cycles were needed to install all the pre-
requisite notes.
6.3.6
PCA preparation
Once you have completed the tasks in the PCA installation phase of the DMO process,
move on to the preparation tasks listed in this section.
1. Notify security of the impending database copy so that they can create passwords for
their own IDs.
2. Check RSADMIN. Ensure the user ID is ALEREMOTE.
3. Create RFC destination <LOGSYS>_PC as a local RFC destination (no parameters
need to be maintained).
4. Check SM59 for a successful authorization test on for <LOGSYS>_PC.
5. Check all delta loads for successful deltas. Identify any RED QM status requests in all
InfoProviders.
6. Clear RED QM status requests in all InfoProviders.
7. Check SNUM for EDIPORT number range against table EDIPORT in the source ECC
system.
8. Check SNUM for EDIPORT number range against table EDIPORT in the source APO
system.
9. Check SNUM for EDIPORT number range against table EDIPORT in the source
CRM system.
10. Check SNUM for EDIPORT number range against table EDIPORT in the source
SRM system.
11. Ensure source system connections are operational (WE20 partner profiles) in the
source BW system.
