Installing the HANA client
You were instructed to download the HANA client in Section 5.2.5 . If you followed the
directions in order, you should have downloaded the installer already. If not, you can down-
load it from SAP Marketplace.
Once you have installed the SAP HANA client, add the directory \usr\sap\<SID>\hdbclient
to your system path. For example, from the command prompt, you can use the following
command to create a soft link to the HANA client:
ln -s /usr/sap/<SID>/hdbclient hdbclient
Installation path
Your exact installation path may vary depending on the drive letters
that are assigned in your system and the system identifier (<SID>)
for your system. Make sure you choose the correct installation path
when adding the hdbclient location to your system path.
After updating the system path, you can also copy the HANA client dynamic link library
from \usr\sap\<SID>\hdbclient\libSQLDBCHDB.dll to the SUM installation directory.
