Database Reference
In-Depth Information
UMG_SHOW_UCTABS will provide a list of inconsistent objects for you to check. You
can use transaction code SE14 to check the runtime and database objects of any tables that
are shown as inconsistent. You will probably find that most of the inconsistent tables do
not exist in the Data Dictionary, so you can use function module DD_SHOW_NAMETAB
to verify whether the inconsistent tables are needed. If not, you can use function module
DD_NAMETAB_DELETE to remove any inconsistent tables.
After you have verified that all nametabs have been created and have passed consistency
checks, you may want to index the nametab tables again, using the procedures that are cor-
rect for your source database (see Section 5.3.15 for more information about updating table
indexes).

Additional downtime steps
After you have finished creating the Unicode nametabs and have corrected any inconsist-
encies in the nametab tables, you will be ready for the final step of the Unicode conversion
preparation. In SPUMG, run report UMG_ADD_DOWNTIME_STEP. From this report,
you can execute the downtime tasks shown in Figure 5.18.
