ADR temporary tables
Many of the address management tables in an SAP system hold temporary data. These
tables are shadow tables used in the transports of customized addresses. These tables are
not relevant as part of the Unicode conversion and can be deleted. The ADR tables which
can be deleted are listed in SAP Note 673941.
5.3.12
Temporary BW objects
There are temporary database objects, including views, tables, triggers, etc. that are used
for queries and other processes. Each of these temporary objects has a name that begins
with /BI0/0… along with an object type number and eight digit identifier.
To remove these temporary database objects prior to a Unicode conversion, you can run
report SAP_DROP_TMPTABLES (shown in Figure 5.11). For more details, see SAP Note
449891.
Be careful!
SAP_DROP_TMPTABLES will remove all temporary objects, re-
gardless of whether or not they are still in use, which would cause
queries, data extractions, and compression to terminate if they are
running at the same time.
