Other landforms, however, have restricted distributions in terms of climate. Thus, tafoni are
well-developed in arid and semi-arid lands, hot and cold, and also in arid and semi-arid coastal
zones, so that they are well-developed in Antarctica, in mediterranean lands like Catalonia, north-
eastern Spain, Corsica and Eyre Peninsula, as well as in the hot deserts of Namibia and central
