platforms disperses in the surrounding regolith. Such systems of connected channels develop
only on extensive, gently-sloping surfaces. Where relics of gutters are preserved on comparatively
small blocks (Fig. 9.15) , it is inferred that the host blocks are remnants of a former dome or
platform.
