PLINTHS AND ASSOCIATED BLOCKS AND BOULDERS
9.2.1 Description
Plinths are low, smooth-topped projections that stand a few centimetres or tens of centimetres
above the level of the adjacent rock surface. They are commonly surmounted by a boulder or block
of rock (Figs 5.11 and 9.10) . Some occur on slopes of gentle or moderate inclination, but others
