TECTONIC AND STRUCTURAL FORMS
Traditionally, in the English-speaking world at least, the term structural has carried two different
geomorphological connotations. The phrase structural landform sensu lato , or used in a broad
sense, encompasses both tectonic landforms due wholly to crustal activities, and structural land-
forms sensu stricto , or in the narrow sense, which are due to the exploitation of crustal weaknesses
