Mason Neck State Park:
Beach and Bay
This short hike features the water and marshes of the Mason Neck area. Look for ducks, swans, and
geese, especially in spring and fall.

Finding the trailhead: From I-495, take I-95 south toward Richmond. Take exit
166A/Fairfax County Parkway and continue toward Fort Belvoir. Turn right at Tele-
graph Road, which, after about 1 mile, will turn slightly left and become Old Colchester
Road. Turn left at Gunston Road and continue for about 3 miles to High Point Road.
Turn right onto High Point Road and drive about 1 mile to the park entrance. Enter the
park and follow the road to the environmental center, where the trail begins. GPS: N38
