Pseudosporochnus is the best known
cladoxylopsid foliage, and this genus has
been found at Riverside Quarry. The
large stumps described by Goldring
(1924) as Eospermatopteris
Riverside Quarry (Berry and Fairon-
Demaret, 2001).
Animals
Eurypterids
A few patches of cuticle and commoner
fragments with a striking resemblance to
the gill tracts of Eurypterus
tetragonophthalmus , described by Wills
(1965), have been found in the macerate
from Brown Mountain, as well as
some
are also
cladoxylopsid.
Other plants
Ibyka , a plant probably intermediate
between the lycopsids and progymno-
sperms, possibly ancestors of horsetails
(Skog and Banks, 1973; 94 ) and Prosseria
(Banks, 1966) are both known from
characteristic
leg
segments
(podomeres, 95 ).
