(continued)
thereby enabling the MOSFET to realize linear VCRs which result in elec-
tronic control of simulated inductance.
In view of the novelty of the FDCCII as outlined above, it appears that its
use in FI synthesis is an interesting problem in research which has not been
attempted so far.
It may be mentioned that other than the variety of CCs considered here, a
number of other building blocks closely related to CCs, such as
Electronically-tunable CCII (ECCII) [ 26 ], dual output-Controlled Current
Conveyor (DO-CCCII) [ 23 , 33 ], Z-copy Current Controlled Current inverting
transconductance amplifier (ZC-CCCITA) [ 49 ], Current controlled Current
Conveyor transconductance amplifier (CCCCTA) [ 51 ] and voltage differenc-
ing Current Conveyor (VDCC) [ 52 , 53 ], have also been employed by several
researchers in grounded/floating impedance simulation.
Lastly, it must be emphasized that several researchers/authors have pro-
posed a variety of CMOS implementation of the extended types of CCs which
along with the novelty of their applications may provide the needed motiva-
tion for IC industry to come up with off- the-shelf ICs of any of the varieties
of CCs considered in this and other chapters of this monograph.
