The authors have described five special cases of this arrangement to explore the
realization of many different kinds of filter functions. However, for the sake of
brevity we elaborate only one case which appears to be more interesting than the
remaining ones. Taking I in1 ¼
0, the circuit can realize
(i) inverted HPFs from V out1 and I out1 (ii) non-inverted BPF from V out2 and inverted
BPF from I out2 (iii) non-inverted notch filter (NF) from I out4 and (iv) inverted LPF
from V out3 and I out3 .
An important point to be noted is that the circuit has the feasibility of controlling
ˉ 0 by adjusting the biasing current I b2 and/or I b3 without disturbing the parameter
ˉ 0 /Q 0, while, on the other hand the parameter
0
¼
I in2 and Vin1
¼
ˉ 0 /Q 0 can be controlled by adjusting
the bias current I b4 without disturbing the parameter
ʩ 0 .
