with the additional draw back that any excess of the bias voltage will also add
directly to the DC offset voltage in the final output of the circuit. A better alternative
is to employ a current biasing technique as shown in Fig. 8.3b . It has been
demonstrated that far better temperature stability can be achieved by biasing the
diode with a constant DC current source. Fig. 8.3a is a CC-based precision full wave
rectifier from [ 4 ].
In [ 5 ], Stiurca demonstrated that the use of current mirror based biasing arrange-
ment to bias the rectifying diodes provides higher temperature stability than
