Start at the trailhead adjacent to the west end of the parking lot.

Make a hard left turn, heading south. A group of rocks bordered by a concrete edge is to
the right.

Reach the Earl Scott Pond on the right. Continue following the trail south along the pond's
edge.

Pass a gravel path on the right. The pond has ended. Overhead power lines are on the
right.

A trail marker is on the right, and a rest area leading to the street is on the left. Continue
nearly straight south, following the trail. Note: The exit to the street is to be used as a
flood escape exit in the event of flash flooding.

Cross over a concrete drainage ditch. Continue straight south and then slightly southwest.

The trail changes to concrete, and the left side has a low concrete wall about 18 inches
high. This is a good spot to rest and then backtrack to the trailhead.

Arrive back at the trailhead.
