Start at the Loop Trail trailhead, adjacent to the parking lot, and head north, away from
Nacogdoches Road.

Reach the intersection with the east side of the Loop Trail. Turn left, heading west on the
paved trail.

Reach the Y with the Small Loop Trail. Take the right branch, staying on the Loop Trail
and heading north.

Reach a Y and take the left branch, heading slightly northwest. The right branch is a
shortcut to the north side of the Loop Trail.

Continue following the Loop Trail, bearing to the right and passing a subdivision on the
left. Make a hard right, heading southeast and away from the road and subdivision.

Follow a slight slope up to a Y and take the left branch, heading east. The right branch is
the junction with the shortcut from 0.25 mile.

A path comes in from the left from the parking lot at the Fox Run Elementary School.
Continue heading east on the Loop Trail.

After following the trail in a wide semicircle and then heading south, reach a Y. Take the
left branch heading west toward Comanche Lookout Tower. Follow the trail as it makes a
hard right and an immediate hard left.

Reach the Comanche Lookout Tower. Follow the trail northeast; it then curves to the
south.

Reach the junction with the Loop Trail. Continue to the right and head south to the trail-
head.

Arrive back at the trailhead.
