Reach a junction with Shady Creek Trail on the left (south). Continue straight (north) on
Hillview. The remaining mile of this trail has some challenging sections with limestone out-
crops and tree roots across it.

The top of the ridge has been reached, but panoramic views are blocked by trees. Follow
Hillview, heading slightly down.

Reach a Y and take the right branch, continuing straight on Hillview. The left branch is
Yucca Trail.

Reach a Y and take the right branch heading east on Red Oak Trail. Follow Red Oak as it
heads west and then south.

Cross a 25-foot-long wooden bridge over a dry creek bed. Continue following Red Oak
south and then bear left (west).
