In-Depth Information
The information presented in this chapter covers the changes that take
place at the molecular level in cancer cells and can be detected using the spec-
troscopic techniques described. It is important to understand the biology and
chemistry of cancer cells, which will help in analysing chemical structural
properties of the cancer cells by spectroscopic means. A good knowledge of
cell structure will allow to us to predict and follow the chemical pathway by
which the disease progresses.
